SEC charges Avraham Eisenberg with planning to attack Mango Markets and steal about $116 million worth of assets

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) accused Avraham Eisenberg of orchestrating an attack on Mango Markets and stealing approximately $116 million worth of encrypted assets from Mango Markets, The Block reported. The SEC said Eisenberg manipulated the security token MNGO to borrow and withdraw approximately $116 million worth of cryptocurrency from the platform by artificially exploiting the appreciation of MNGO derivatives positions, depleting all assets available on the Mango Markets platform. Foresight News previously reported that on Jan. 10, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) filed a lawsuit against Mango Markets attacker Avraham Eisenberg for allegedly manipulating decentralized trading markets.
