According to Bloomberg, citing a report by LCH Investments, a company that tracks fund return data, in 2022, the top 20 hedge fund firms will generate a total of US$22.4 billion in revenue (after deducting fees), of which Citadel, which ranks first, will generate US$22.4 billion in revenue in 2022. The income reached 16 billion U.S. dollars and set a new high for the annual return of hedge fund companies, surpassing the huge profit of 15 billion U.S. dollars earned by hedge fund manager John Paulson for clients in the US subprime mortgage crisis in 2007. Separately, Bridgewater will earn $6.2 billion in 2022.
