Former FTX director of engineering Nishad Singh is finalizing a deal with prosecutors to plead guilty to criminal charges, Bloomberg reported, citing people familiar with the matter. The agreement has not yet been finalized. Top U.S. market regulators, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the Securities and Exchange Commission, also plan to sue Nishad Singh, a person familiar with the matter said. It comes after FTX co-founder Gary Wang and former Alameda Research CEO Caroline Ellison pleaded guilty last year to charges related to their roles at FTX and Alameda Research and are cooperating with prosecutors.
