JPMorgan Chase & Co (JPM) said in a research note last week that recent regulatory moves by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) show a bias in its view of most cryptocurrencies. JPMorgan Chase expects that the US SEC will also take more regulatory actions on stablecoin issuers, investor digital asset custody and protection, and the unbundling of brokers, dealers, lending, liquidation, and custody activities. The SEC is also expected to mandate regular disclosure, reporting and auditing of the reserves, assets and liabilities of major cryptocurrency entities, the analysts, led by Nikolaos Panigirtzoglou, wrote.
