Edge Wallet said it discovered a security flaw in its app that exposed about 2,000 private keys by sending them to the Edge infrastructure, which equates to about 0.01% of the total keys created on the Edge platform. Edge is continuing its investigation, including deep device forensics to determine if malware had access to unencrypted private keys on disk. Edge says the private key is leaked once the user performs the following two actions, entering one of the following options available in the “Buy” or “Sell” tabs of the bottom navigation bar: Bity, Wyre, Bitrefill, Ionia, Xanpool, LibertyX, Bitaccess, Bits of Gold, Banxa; use the "Upload Log" function in Edge to send the log to the Edge server. If the upload was done after entering one of the buy/sell options, the log will contain the private key.
