The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has appointed executives from Circle, TRM, Fireblocks and more to its technology advisory committee. Among them, former White House official Carole House served as the new chairman, Ari Redboard of the blockchain analysis company TRM Labs served as the vice chairman of its technical advisory committee, and other encryption industry representatives included Corey Then, vice president of Circle, Jill Gunter, chief strategy officer of Espresso Systems, and chief executive of Fireblocks. Executive Michael Shaulov, Ava Labs CEO Emin Gün Sirer, Paradigm Policy Director Justin Slaughter, Trail of Bits CEO Dan Guido and Lightspark Chief Strategy Officer Christian Catalini. The committee will hold its first meeting on March 22, at which time it will “consider updating the Cybersecurity Subcommittee, creating a new Digital Assets and Blockchain Technology Subcommittee, merging and expanding the two previous TAC subcommittees, and Create a new Emerging Technologies Subcommittee."
