The WeChat public account of Chinese prosecutors published an article "Criminal Prosecution | Determination of the Nature of Illegal Acquisition of Virtual Currency from the Perspective of the Unity of Legal Order", which pointed out that virtual currency, as a special kind of virtual property, conforms to the characteristics of "property" and should be evaluated as Objects of property crimes in criminal law. The state has adopted stricter control policies on virtual currency-related business activities, denying the "currency" attribute of virtual currency, but never denying the "property" attribute of virtual currency. Judging and identifying the effectiveness of civil legal acts has no theoretical connection with the criteria for judging and identifying the protection of "property" in the criminal law. Whether a contract involving virtual currency is valid or not cannot be used as a basis for denying the attribute of "property" in the criminal law of virtual currency. The "property" attribute of currency does not violate the unity of the legal order.
