US infrastructure provider Transaction Network Services (TNS) announced the deployment of TNS cloud-based financial trading infrastructure solutions for Coinbase Derivatives Exchange (CDE), including its recently announced TNS dedicated server product, TNS dedicated server product was developed to provide low-latency transaction execution, increased storage capacity, and handling of the large data sets required by CDE. In mid-March, according to The Block, Coinbase announced details of its derivatives business at a futures industry conference held in Boca Raton, Florida, USA. Its derivatives business is mainly divided into three aspects: Coinbase FCM (futures commission merchant), Coinbase DCM (renamed by FairX, responsible for connecting retail brokers and market makers) and Nodal Clear (derivatives clearing agency). FairX (now Coinbase Derivatives) will continue to operate and launch crypto derivatives directly for its clients, with the launch of derivatives for the Coinbase user base pending regulatory approval.
