The blockchain analysis platform Dune released the SparkSQL and PostgreSQL deactivation schedule, which will be deleted from the data explorer on May 15, edit disabled on June 15, and stop service on July 15. Dune reminds users that they need to use the DuneSQL migration tool to migrate to DuneSQL before July 15th. In the future, queries running on SparkSQL or PostgreSQL will no longer be updated, but the data in them can still be accessed. Additionally, data ingestion for Polygon, BNB, Optimism, and Gnosis on their respective Postgres instances stopped on April 20th. Meanwhile, in the short term, Spells will continue to run on SparkSQL, but be queried by DuneSQL. The Dune team is already testing a new version of Spellbook that will run entirely on DuneSQL, closing the last remaining compatibility gap.
