Odaily Planet Daily News HBAR Foundation recently tweeted that Calaxy App, a social media platform for Web3 creators co-founded by NBA star Spencer Dinwiddie, has launched a web application on the Hedera network.
The first public version of Calaxy is officially launched. By leveraging Web3 capabilities built on Hedera DLT, Calaxy provides creators with an end-to-end toolkit for a range of sales experiences and receive instant payments in USD or USDC.
Through video calls, exclusive fan content, and mutual tweets, creators can customize experiences powered by Hedera NFTs, which are publicly verifiable on-chain and can be purchased by users using USD or USDC.
Calaxy users will be able to quickly set up a non-custodial digital wallet for sending, receiving and storing cryptocurrencies.
According to previous reports, in June 2022, the encrypted social platform Calaxy announced the completion of US$26 million in financing, led by Animoca Brands and HBAR Foundation, and participated by Polygon.
Calaxy will build a user-oriented social platform based on the underlying blockchain technology. Fans can establish contact with well-known creators through video messages, online courses, video calls, and fan club subscriptions. Content subscriptions can be purchased using Calaxy’s native token CLXY.
