Odaily Planet Daily News Polkadot DeFi platform Acala's proposal on "ACA release upgrade" has been voted by the community.
The proposal is part of the Acala 2.0 Exodus upgrade, which proposes to release 100 million ACA per year for a period of 6 years. The specific release will happen every month, and the distribution of the released amount will require follow-up voting, which will be retrospectively started from the approval of the upgrade in June, and the target execution date is August 15 (block 4238700). The destruction scheme will be included in the next runtime upgrade.
Prior to the news on July 12, Acala tweeted that if the community votes, the Exodus upgrade will be carried out on August 15. This upgrade will optimize network growth, sustainability, and security, and increase the utility of ACA through staking, adjusting incentives, and more.
In addition, 50% of ACA's annual unlocking will be used for ACA pledge, and 50% will be reserved for liquidity mining of liquidity pools and dApps built on the Universal Asset Hub (UAH). Part of the unused ACA is used for destruction, such as 1% per month, and part of the network fees accumulated over a period of time will also be destroyed through governance, such as 20% every six months.
