Former Coinbase product manager Ishan Wahi and his brother Nikhil Wahi have agreed to settle the insider trading charges brought against them by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), with Ishan and Nikhil Wahi each agreeing to be permanently banned from violating the Securities Exchange Section 10(b) and Rule 10b-5 of the Act, and pay forfeited proceeds and prejudgment interest. Ishan Wahi was sentenced to 24 months in prison and forfeited 10.97 ETH and 9440 USDT, and Nikhil was sentenced to 10 months in prison and forfeited $892,000. The SEC has filed a motion for final judgment in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, and the settlement agreement remains subject to court approval.
