Taiko is now live on the alpha-3 Incentivized Testnet

Taiko, an Ethereum layer 2 network based on zkRollup, issued a document saying that the alpha-3 incentive test network is now online. Compared with the alpha-2 test network, the main changes of the new test network are: new protocol economics design and implementation, proposers and provers are permissionless, and support Taiko initial layer (L3). The testnet is focused on permissionless leaning towards decentralization, testing how proposers and provers interact with each other and with the protocol, driven by the economic incentives of the protocol, and will test the Taiko initial layer in a few weeks (L3). The testnet remains open to all developers to deploy smart contracts, all users can send and attempt transactions, and anyone can run an L2 node. alpha-3 will be an incentivized testnet for proposers and provers, and create a TTKO test token (Test TKO) that proposers need to use to propose blocks. In order to avoid spamming proposed blocks, Taiko publicly stated that TTKO balance, useful and reasonable block construction will be the indicators to reward network participants to enter the mainnet. At the same time, there may be flaws in the agreement, and the launch time of the mainnet has not yet been determined. Taiko will reserve the right to adjust the plan.
