The judge overseeing the criminal trial of Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) will allow the government to temporarily process some of the charges against SBF as part of a separate criminal trial, CoinDesk reported. The five charges against SBF could go to trial in March 2024. A U.S. federal judge in New York cast doubt on a motion by SBF's defense attorneys to dismiss multiple charges at a hearing. On June 15, according to CoinDesk, the U.S. Department of Justice intends to try only the eight charges it brought against FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) in December 2022, namely conspiracy to commit wire fraud against customers, Wire fraud by customer, conspiracy to wire fraud against a lender, wire fraud against a lender, conspiracy to commit commodity fraud, conspiracy to commit securities fraud, conspiracy to commit money laundering, conspiracy to defraud the United States and violation of campaign finance laws.
