Odaily Planet Daily News NFT project OnChainMonkey development company Metagood plans to migrate all 10,000 NFTs in the OCM Genesis series from the Ethereum chain to the Bitcoin chain.
OnChainMonkeys was initially launched on the Ethereum chain in September 2021. Danny Yang, co-founder and CEO of Metagood, said that the decision to migrate this series of NFTs was because its community believes that the Bitcoin Ordinals protocol is better designed than the Ethereum NFT protocol in terms of decentralization and security.
OCM DAO has voted to approve the proposal to migrate the OCM Genesis series of NFTs to Block 9 sats on the Bitcoin chain, with a support rate of 99%. However, the cost of migration is high, and Metagood expects to spend more than $1 million to ensure the migration process goes smoothly.
NFTPrice Floor data shows that OnChainMonkey’s NFT floor price on the Ethereum chain is currently 1.0739 ETH. (Cointelegraph)
According to previous news, the NFT project OnChainMonkey announced in February this year that it would join the Ordinals protocol and start "Inscription" engraving on the Bitcoin blockchain, and all its 10,000 NFT series have been put on the chain.
