According to Yonhap News Agency, the Gyeonggi-do Government of South Korea issued the "Partial Amendment to the Code of Conduct for Civil Servants in Gyeonggi-do", which is currently receiving comments (until July 25). The amendment states that it is prohibited to use virtual asset information learned during the performance of duties to conduct property transactions or investments related to virtual assets, and it is prohibited to provide virtual asset information to others to help conduct property transactions or investments. For public officials related to virtual asset positions and property registration obligors with level 4 or above public officials, the requirement to declare virtual assets is also included. The amendment will come into effect immediately after being considered by the Regulation Rules Review Committee early next month.
