British crypto asset custody firm Copper has appointed former Mastercard executive Tim Neill as chief risk officer, who will report to chief operating officer Sabrina Wilson. Tim has over 20 years of experience in operations and risk with a focus on payments, open banking, financial services and technology, covering new payment platforms at Mastercard as Chief Risk Officer and Head of Product and Engineering Risk for the New Payment Platforms division , digital banking and CBDC. Tim is a board member of Vocalink Ltd UK (Bank of England approved position) and a board trustee of Voca Pensions Ltd UK. Prior to joining Mastercard, Tim held a number of senior risk and operations roles at companies including London Stock Exchange Group, Standard Chartered Bank and Deutsche Bank.
