According to previous news, Fortress Trust founder and CEO Scott Purcell said that before being acquired by Ripple, Fortress Trust lost $12 million to $15 million in cryptocurrency in a hacking attack, most of which was Bitcoin, with a small amount of USDC and USDT was stolen. Purcell said the fault for the security breach lies with the third-party vendor, not Fortress Trust or its hosting partners Fireblocks and BitGo.
