Bitcoin Miner CleanSpark Buys Mawson's Georgia Mine for $42.5M

According to CoinDesk, Bitcoin mining company CleanSpark acquired Mawson’s Georgia mine and 6,488 mining machines for $42.5 million. CleanSpark paid $26.5 million in cash, $11 million in common stock, and 3 million The purchase price will be paid by a promissory note of USD 10,000 and future proceeds of USD 2,000,000. The deal is expected to add 1.4 EH/s of hashrate by the end of the year, bringing the total to 5.2 EH/s. CleanSpark said it expects to add another 2.4 EH/s in early 2023 and 7.0 EH/s by the end of next year.
