Odaily Planet Daily News Recently, Shanxi Gaoping Public Security Bureau detected a fraud-related criminal case involving the use of a large number of Alipay public accounts to "buy low and sell high" the virtual currency USDT to participate in money laundering. After investigation, it was found that the criminal gang has illegally used USDT since March 2023. More than 240 Alipay accounts, more than 10 "Ouyi" accounts, and more than 10 digital wallets were involved in money laundering and transferring fraudulent funds, with the amount involved reaching more than 10 million yuan. At present, 15 criminal suspects have been taken criminal compulsory measures by Gaoping Public Security in accordance with the law, and the case is under further investigation.
