Odaily Planet Daily News The Cosmos ecological liquidity staking project Stride will suspend its plan to convert its native token STRD into Cosmos Hub’s ATOM token. Just nine days ago, Stride Labs co-founder Vishal Talasani proposed at Cosmoverse in Istanbul that Stride should be merged with Cosmos Hub, the core blockchain of the Cosmos ecosystem.
However, the team said: "After a week of public discussions, the Cosmos Hub+Stride community has suspended the STRD/ATOM conversion. It can be considered to be on hold, but it has not been completely abandoned."
The Stride team wrote: "Judging from the reaction from the Cosmos Hub and Stride community, there is currently too much disagreement and not enough consensus about the feasibility of the conversion idea. Perhaps this will change at some point in the future, but for now, we think It would be inappropriate to move forward with specific details regarding the conversion."
While conversion conversations are on hold for now, the Stride team says they will continue to focus on providing liquidity staking services. (Blockworks)
According to news on October 9, Stride initiated a governance proposal with the intention of giving up the STRD token. In the future, STRD can be converted into ATOM and ATOM will be used as Stride’s only governance token.
