Odaily Planet Daily reported that Bitcoin’s computing power has hit a record high recently, with the seven-day SMA reaching 455 EH/s, while it was only 261 EH/s at the beginning of 2023. This means that the computing power has increased by 194 EH in about 9 months. /s, nearly half a ZettaHash (i.e. about 500 EH/s).
If the computing power maintains its current growth rate of 0.68 EH/s per day, the seven-day SMA will reach 500 EH/s in approximately 66 days or 9-10 weeks (i.e. around December 20, 2023). Data from BTC.com shows that Bitcoin’s computing power is temporarily at 448.03 EH/s.
Earlier this year, River Financial research analyst Sam Wouters predicted that Bitcoin may enter the ZettaHash (1,000 EH/s) era by the end of 2025. If computing power maintains its current growth rate of 0.68 EH/s per day, this milestone may be reached around December 23, 2025 or possibly early 2026. (Bitcoin.com)
