As artificial intelligence (AI) chatbots become more popular, developer platform Stack Overflow will lay off about 28% of its employees, or about 150 people.
Stack Overflow CEO Prashanth Chandrasekar said that macroeconomic pressure has brought challenges to the entire technology industry, and Stack Overflow is on a "path to profitability" and "continuous product innovation." He added, "We have taken many steps this year to Spend less.”
In August, Stack Overflow's network traffic showed a slight decrease compared with 2022, with an average decrease of 5%.
