This shows a daily surge of 7.21%.The BitVol Index is designed to measure the 30-day expected implied volatility that derives from tradable Bitcoin options prices. Implied volatility is a metric that is determined by the actual price of an option, indicating the market's forecasted future volatility.Using the Black-Scholes (BS) option pricing model, options traders appraise the volatility by inserting the actual price of the option and all parameters barring volatility σ. The potency of the negotiating powers of many options traders largely determines the empirical price of options.Therefore, implied volatility is generally regarded as the market participants' perspective and forecasts for the market's future.
