AltIndex data shows that the number of Bitcoin ATMs installed globally fell to its lowest point in two years this month. AltIndex said that since the end of last year, the number of installations has dropped by 7,000 units to 32,500 units, a decrease of 17%.
The United States, which has the largest number of Bitcoin ATMs, has seen the largest decline, with around 26,700 now. Still, the number of installations in the United States is almost 18 times that of Europe as a whole. AltIndex attributes its decline to controversy over its potential criminal use. (CoinDesk)
