NFT Game Axie Infinity Launches Origins Season 1, AXS Rewards Over $1.5M

NFT game Axie Infinity announced the launch of Origins Season 1, which began after maintenance ended, and AXS rewarded more than $1.5 million, the largest leaderboard prize pool to date. According to Axie Infinity, all Season 0 game progress is now out of date and Moonshine Fragments cannot be disenchanted until maintenance is complete. The team will be deploying a balance patch in Season 1, which will be released approximately 2 weeks later. Additionally, the season saw some key updates to the crafting and upgrade progression system, including disenchanting runes/talismans from the previous season now yielding fewer Moonshine Shards, changing seasons to longer 60-day seasons, and more.
