Two Sigma Ventures Raises $400M for Two Funds to Invest in Crypto, DeFi, and More

Two Sigma Ventures, the venture capital arm of Two Sigma, a financial technology company with assets under management of more than $60 billion, raised $400 million for its two funds, and external investors such as university endowments, non-profit foundations, and pension funds invested about 3.6 billion dollars. Two Sigma executives and partners invested about $40 million. The two funds will invest in companies that use data and technology to promote social progress, including cryptocurrencies, DeFi, SaaS, financial technology, etc.
