FTX investigates $6.5 million payment to AI security group

In a bankruptcy court filing on October 25, FTX lawyers said the company gave $6.5 million to AI security group CAIS between May and September 2022, and FTX wants a Delaware Bankruptcy Court judge to approve the payment to CAIS. Subpoenas were issued to inquire into receipt of payments, funds, communications or agreements or contracts with FTX, its affiliates and former executives. FTX’s request to investigate CAIS may be part of its efforts to recover funds to repay creditors and customers that went bankrupt in November 2022. (Cointelegraph)
