According to official news, the Exactly community launched a proposal to "compensate users affected by hacker attacks" to solve the problem of financial losses caused by the security breach that occurred on August 18, 2023.
The proposal states that 1 million EXA tokens will be distributed among 117 affected users. This assignment includes:
10% of the total supply of EXA tokens, which is approximately 20% of the total supply of EXA tokens designated by the community;
Unlocking: The unlocking of these tokens will begin in June 2024 and continue for 48 months on a linear unlocking schedule, similar to the new EXA token unlocking schedule.
Additionally, the proposal states that affected users will receive a Sablier NFT as proof of their claim to the allocated EXA tokens.
The community recommends that Exactly Protocol continue to maintain transparent and open communication about the progress of Homeland Security Investigations.
According to previous news, Exactly Protocol stated that four weeks have passed since the protocol was attacked, and the attackers have been given enough time to do the right thing, but there has been no communication. As a result, Exactly Protocol said it has contacted the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which has assigned a team of agents to the case. The attacker can still return the funds, but 100%, not 90%.
