Digital Prime Technologies, a provider of digital asset technology solutions, announced the launch of Tokenet, an institutional digital asset lending platform. Anchorage Digital, a regulated crypto platform and custodian, will provide custody and settlement services to its mutual customers. Tokenet said that the platform will allow users to interact with trusted counterparties, publish borrowing requirements, loan availability and manage collateral, with loan life cycle management tools, automatic marking to market, re-pricing and other functions. Tokenet’s early customers include cryptocurrency custodian Xapo Bank, prime brokerage firm Hidden Road, institutional exchange EDX and market maker DV Chain.
Digital Prime co-founder and CEO James Runnels is a former managing director at Cantor Fitzgerald and head of securities lending at Overstock-owned tokenization startup tZero.
