Spain’s National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) has filed a lawsuit against the country’s technology provider Miolos SL, accusing it of running two cryptocurrency-related advertising campaigns between September and November last year. It is reported that this is the first time a case has been filed against crypto advertising violations in the country.
CNMV alleged that Miolos SL failed to disclose warnings and related information about the risky nature of crypto assets. The company failed to communicate with regulators before the ad campaign was launched.
Meanwhile, the CNMV is investigating four other similar crypto advertising breaches. (Reuters)
