According to The Block, a hacker exploited a Profanity vulnerability to steal $3.3 million in assets from multiple Ethereum addresses established through Profanity. 1inch said last week that Profanity’s address generation method was insecure and that keys linked to public addresses could be calculated through brute force attacks, and the hacking came after 1inch disclosed the vulnerability. Tal Be'ery, ZenGo's director of security and chief technology officer, said hackers may have known about the flaw in advance and launched the attack after 1inch disclosed it.
