Lido DAO has approved the deployment of simple DVT modules to reduce points of failure and risk of downtime

The Lido DAO has approved the deployment of a simple Distributed Validator Technology (DVT) module, a step towards quickly diversifying the Lido node operator set and driving innovation within the Ethereum staking ecosystem. DVT is a system that operates similar to a multi-signature setup running validators, relying not on a single node operator but on multiple NOs, each NO managing different nodes that communicate and work together to reach consensus to fulfill Validator Responsibilities. Additionally, DVT serves to: Increase validator resiliency; Reduce points of failure and risk of downtime; Improve decentralization across infrastructure, geography, and customers; Add an additional layer of protection through Distributed Key Generation (DKG).
