BNB Chain Postpones Announced Network Upgrade: Actions for Community In an important announcement, Binance's BNB Chain decided to postpone its network upgrade that was initially slated for November 29, 2023. This decision was made after conducting extensive analysis and considering feedback from the user community. BNB Chain has been considering the network upgrade as part of its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of network performance and security. They have been routinely monitoring and evaluating the impact of any potential upgrades on the BNB Chain ecosystem. For v1.2.x nodes, users are directed to downgrade to v1.2.13 if they have already upgraded, while v1.3.x node users should downgrade to v1.3.1. The company also advised users to avoid using the --txlookuplimit flag from v1.3.1 onward, as it has been superseded by --history.transactions to preclude possible performance issues. Additionally, all v1.2.x geth nodes are advised not to use a flag known as –pipecommit. The above changes must be implemented before the instructed time and date. If a user is running the latest release, as suggested in BNB Chain's previous announcement, no changes are required.
