According to Foresight News, Ethereum core developer Tim Beiko summarized the latest Ethereum Core Developer Execution (ACDE) conference call, where developers discussed the status of Dencun, the testnet timeline, and network upgrade plans. As for the latest situation of Devnet #12 launched last week, almost all clients are running on it, and errors have been discovered and fixed in multiple clients, including Reth and Lighthouse. The Prysm Ethereum Client team is the only one that has not yet joined Devnet 12, as they are continuing to work on Blob caching and verification, and hope to join Devnet 12 in the next one or two weeks.
The development team is ready to fork the testnet and plans to conduct a large-scale Goerli shadow fork in the coming weeks. The developers unanimously agreed that if things go smoothly, the Goerli fork date will be set in early 2024, with plans to activate Dencun on the network in January. The last ACDE meeting of 2023 will be held at 22:00 Beijing time on December 21.
