In response to remarks about the orthodoxy of the definitions of Rollup and Validium, Ethereum founder Vitalik said that the core of Rollup is unconditional security. However, using external DA services is the right choice for Validium for many applications. Using high-quality decentralized DA services can improve the actual security of Validium. In response, MantaNetwork Lianchuang Victor replied that Manta is proud to be Validium or Rollup or any infrastructure that can contribute new ZK applications in the Ethereum ecosystem. On December 16, Manta Pacific became the first Ethereum Layer 2 to use Celestia as the DA layer. According to Socialscan data, Manta Pacific migrated the DA layer from Ethereum to Celestia. During the period, a total of 4.96 million transactions were generated, generating 586.55 MB of data. It has saved a total of US$922,317 in DA fees. Compared with using the Ethereum main network, the cost has been reduced by 99.78%. Currently, Manta Pacific’s average interaction gas is $0.01-0.04.
