According to a new developer report released by Electric Capital, the total number of monthly active cryptocurrency developers fell by 25% year-on-year in 2023, but those developers who have been in the field for a long time are showing greater resilience than before. The number of developers with more than two years of cryptocurrency development experience is at an all-time high, with an annualized growth rate of 51% over the past five years. Developers who have been working in cryptocurrency for at least a year grew 15% year over year and accounted for 63% of all monthly active developers. In addition, according to Electric Capital statistics, as of the fourth quarter of 2023, there are 3,300 developers developing on the Solana chain. Since 2020, the number of Solana's monthly developers has increased 10 times, while the developer ecosystem has experienced above-average growth in full-time developers (507%) and developers focusing on a single industry chain (986%).
