B2C2, a large British crypto exchange, has announced that it will expand its operations to Luxembourg by obtaining a local virtual asset registration.
B2C2 has become the country’s 12th officially licensed crypto company, joining the likes of Bitstamp, PayPal, Zodia Custody and others, according to the French Commission for Financial Supervision’s website. The registration will allow B2C2 to offer over-the-counter spot crypto trading to institutional clients and partner with local crypto services and traditional financial institutions, the company said in a press release on Wednesday. As part of its expansion in Europe, B2C2 recently acquired French cryptocurrency liquidity provider Woorton.
B2C2 said the Luxembourg branch will be led by Denzel Walters, who was previously business manager at B2C2’s London office. Prior to B2C2, Walters worked at the Bank of England, the Prudential Regulatory Authority and Optima Partners. (The Block)
