On February 26, at the "SevenX Research Day: Restaked Modularity @ETHDenver" event, Mark Tyneway, co-founder of OP Labs (Optimism), expressed his views on the theme of "Modular Interoperability and OP Stack" and introduced building interoperability The design philosophy of the sexual stack: first, it must be minimal and flexible, and needs to be used with existing tools; this architecture is universal, and it should be able to work with different deployment frameworks. “We have been developing this architecture specifically for OP Stack, but others can adopt it if they wish.”
Secondly, functions need to be designed from the user's perspective. “If you don’t think about user experience first when designing a feature, you may not survive and users may not like it.”
Furthermore, do not force the design of key attributes to include cross-chain messages, otherwise it will add a lot of complexity. If you are forced to include any kind of cross-chain messaging, the best design approach is to use a queue.
“Optimism’s approach is to simplify transactions because we want to be more scalable. There is no forced inclusion of cross-chain messages, (which is) simpler and easier to reason about.”
"SevenX Research Day: Restaked Modularity @ETHDenver" is hosted by SevenX Ventures, co-organized by Mirana Ventures, and supported by EigenLayer. Leading researchers, AVS projects and founders related to Modularity and Restaking attended to discuss the cutting-edge of the industry.
