Data from The Block Pro shows that open interest in CME Group’s Bitcoin futures increased by 54.7% in February to $7.8 billion, a record high, but the average daily transaction volume (daily avg volume) fell by 7.4% to approximately 3.18 billion US dollars; the average monthly trading volume of Ethereum futures rose to 555 billion US dollars, an increase of 8.6%. In terms of cryptocurrency options, open interest in Bitcoin options surged 80.8% in February to a record high, while Ethereum open interest also rose, rising 48.5%. In addition, in terms of Bitcoin and Ethereum options trading volume, Bitcoin options trading volume fell by 1% in February to $39.47 billion; Ethereum options trading volume fell by 5.4% to $16.98 billion.
