The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) of the Philippines has begun blocking the websites of crypto companies that offer investment products in the country without the necessary licenses.
The websites of crypto companies MiTrade and OctaFX are currently inaccessible in the Philippines. The NTC issued an order to Internet service providers on February 21 to block MiTrade’s app and website for violating Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations.
Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission Commissioner Kelvin Lee said the country’s ban on Binance would take effect three months after it was issued on November 29 last year, indicating that the Binance website was supposed to be banned on February 29. But Binance exchange is still accessible in the country. (Cointelegraph)
