Bitcoin side protocol Side Protocol will launch a modular settlement layer and launch the first phase of the test network

Side Protocol announced that it will expand the Bitcoin network through a modular technology stack and launch the first phase of the test network. As a key step in the roadmap, the team will introduce a Bitcoin sidechain to serve as the settlement layer for modular rollups. The settlement layer will be designed for proof verification, liquidity unification, value exchange and interoperability across rollups. Additionally, Side Protocol will leverage the Cosmos technology stack and IBC protocol to facilitate seamless value transfer between Bitcoin and the Cosmos ecosystem.
