Japanese Game Development Giant Konami Is Hiring NFT, Web3, and Metaverse-Related Jobs, Plans to Launch a Digital Item Distribution Platform

According to The Block, Japanese traditional game development giant Konami Digital Entertainment is recruiting for a series of positions related to NFT, Web3 and metaverse, expanding to the field of Web3 and metaverse. The company made it clear that it plans to launch a service that will allow players to trade their in-game NFTs (digital items) through a distribution platform using blockchain. A footnote in the official press release states that Konami is developing a unique digital item distribution platform that complies with the “Blockchain Game Guidelines” set by the Computer Entertainment Suppliers Association, the Japan Online Game Association, and the Mobile Content Forum. Konami previously sold a series of NFTs through OpenSea in January, earning over $160,000 at the time.
