Modular blockchain network Celestia announced on the X platform that Blobstream has been launched on the Base mainnet. Using Blobstream, developers can continue building within the "same ecosystem," creating customizable, high-throughput blockspaces, it said.
Developed by Succinct Labs, Blobstream is a one-way data attestation bridge that enables Ethereum L2 and L3 to use Celestia as modular data verification. It uses DA proofs and Merkle roots of batched Celestia block data to prove the existence of rollup data on Celestia.
Developers can now start integrating the new Ethereum rollup framework with Blobstream to expand any ecosystem.
It should be noted that Blobstream is still in its early stages and is experimental software, and users should use Blobstream at their own risk.
Last October, Celestia announced the launch of Blobstream. Previously known as the Quantum Gravity Bridge (QGB), Blobstream transports Celestia’s data root commitments to on-chain Ethereum light clients. Developers can integrate Blobstream to create high-throughput Ethereum L2, similar to developing smart contracts.
