Coinbase has registered as a restricted dealer under the Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) in Ontario, Canada, which allows the company to further expand into overseas markets at a time when it faces regulatory crackdowns in its home market in the United States. Last year, Canada introduced new guidelines for cryptocurrency exchanges, limiting the amount that certain investors can invest in cryptocurrencies and imposing mandatory registration on cryptocurrency companies.
