Companies such as Coinbase Cloud and Google Cloud joined the network as node operators shortly after the EigenLayer mainnet went live.
Coinbase noted: "Coinbase Cloud is proud to be one of the first operators of the protocol and is ready to become a trusted partner for users to re-stake ETH or LST." Meanwhile, Sam Padilla, product manager at Google Cloud, said that his team has been involved in Eigen's testnet since November last year and has now deployed an operator node on the mainnet.
This is not the first time Google Cloud has participated in the operation of blockchain nodes. It has provided Web3 infrastructure services such as node hosting and management of validator operations for various blockchains on the platform, especially Ethereum, Solana and Aptos.
Other operators joining EigenLayer include Deutsche Telekom MMS, HashKey Cloud, P2P, Nethermind, Figment, Everstake, Kiln and AltLayer. (The Block)
