In response to the hacker attack, YIEDL posted on the X platform that hackers attacked the new Y-Bull vault on BSC, worth about $300,000. All SCs have been audited and tested by third parties before release, but the attacker exploited a vulnerability in the BSC integrated SC that allows redemption of small amounts of funds; this has been done multiple times through custom malicious SCs; unfortunately, the vulnerability was not discovered during the audit phase.
YIEDL said it is tracking the stolen funds flowing to the target wallet and is looking for a partial/full recovery solution; the incident has been reported to the Singapore authorities. One of the attacker's wallets received funds from an address starting with 0x975d9B. Multiple security teams emphasized to YIEDL that the address belongs to the crypto exchange ChangeNow, and YIEDL contacted it to obtain detailed information about the attacker.
Yesterday, according to Paidun monitoring, YIEDL, an AI-driven Vaults project based on Synthetix and Optimism, was suspected of being attacked and about $160,000 was stolen.
