According to Foresight News, Singapore police received a report of an armed robbery at a residential unit in King Albert Park on April 18 at 2:00 am. The victims, ranging in age from 25 to 45, were reportedly robbed by at least four men. The stolen items included Singaporean and foreign currency, cryptocurrency, and luxury brand watches, with a total value of approximately 4.34 million SGD (about 319.31 million USD).
Following the investigation, the Singapore Criminal Investigation Department and the Kim Bong Police Station confirmed the identities of the men involved in the case. They discovered that the suspects had fled to Malaysia shortly after the police received the report. In cooperation with the Royal Malaysian Police, two of the suspects, aged 28 and 32, were arrested in Malaysia on April 27 and 28. They were extradited back to Singapore on April 30, while the other suspects are still being pursued.
Under the Singapore Penal Code, if the charge of armed robbery in a gang is established, the maximum sentence can be up to 20 years in prison and 24 strokes of the cane.
