According to SlowMist analysis, the IP associated with the hacker who stole 1,155 WBTC was traced to Hong Kong (VPN is not ruled out). Earlier news, a certain address was suspected to be a victim of a malicious transaction by another address phishing attack, losing 1,155 WBTC worth $71 million. After that, the scammer sold all 1,155 WBTC for 22,960 ETH, and used a large number of wallet addresses to send and disperse funds for money laundering.
