South African prosecutors are pursuing the accomplices of the Bitcoin Ponzi scheme MTI and plan to bring charges including fraud and forgery

South Africa’s National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) is investigating co-conspirators in the Bitcoin Ponzi scheme Mirror Trading International (MTI), masterminded by the late Johann Steynberg. NPA head of media relations Isaac Dludlu said the prosecution is considering several charges against those involved, including fraud and forgery. The co-conspirators also face charges of violating the Organized Crime Act and the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, and many of them remain at large, according to local media reports. The NPA’s hunt for MTI co-conspirators was revealed just weeks after Steynberg “died” while under house arrest in Brazil. (Bitcoin.com)
